Madikeri: Quarrel between couple ends in two suicides - baby orphaned

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (EP)

Madikeri, April 2: In a tragic incident which happened at Pampinakere extension in the town, a husband-wife duo sought to end their lives for silly reason. Both of them hanged themselves, leaving behind their thee-year-old daughter in the lurch.

Chethan (34), who was working as mathematics teacher in a private school here, and his wife, Vani (27), were the ones who chose to kill themselves. Chethan, who was from Tiptur, had married Vani from Tumakuru four years back. The couple is survived by a three-year-old female child.

It is said that there was friction between the husband and wife sometime back on some issue, and members of both the families had intervened and resolved the matter. It is said that on April 1 afternoon, Vani called her parents over phone, informing them of her decision to commit suicide. Her parents immediately contacted Chethan and told him about the phone call. Chethan rushed home and found that his wife had already hanged herself. Dismayed and overtaken by emotions, Chethan immediately took a plastic rope and hanged himself outside his home.

Before ending his life, Chethan called his parents to tell them about Vani's suicide and to convey his own decision to end his life. His parents immediately got in touch with the police personnel in the town and explained to them about the issue on hand. However, by the time the police reached the couple's home, both had breathed their last.

Station house officer, Shanmuga, has registered a case. Investigation has been undertaken.

Very sad and unfortunate. I can just say RIP young couple. Suicide was not a solution. We do not know what was going on in their mind to take such a drastic step. I am sure it must be something very serious. I feel sorry for their three year old daughter who will have to live without parents. I wish the young girl will get a good family who will take care of her.

Actually, if u see, our Indian boys and girls are rarely ready for marriage challenges......many a time unmarried youth panic after hitting "marriagable age" due to pressure from parents, and relatives to get married quick, and succumb into an arranged marriage where they are not at all happy, or there is no adjustment/commitment, just because they were afraid they might not have got a better proposal if they did not jump into marriage in the first place...in the end it is a lose-lose situation for both husband and wife.
Hope God will protect this little angel of theirs and not put her in harm's way till she can take care of herself..

Nothing much left to say but call both of them as stupid to end their lives abruptly for no valid reasons. In the process they have left the innocent child orphan to suffer her entire life. Only God knows what this poor innocent child has to go through in future.

May their Should rest in peace.
    Very Tragic. Should never happen.
    In fact YOGA..mind control..love..peace.. meditation..harmony..flexibility..respect.
    is the essence.
It is heart breaking . just for some misunderstanding.
    we are all humans and bound to be emotional but with ;
    Prayers
    Mediation
    Yoga
Things can be well under control.
Hope the govt will introduce Yoga.....Compulsorily in schools.

Why only Yoga to be made compulsory in schools? Make Meditation, Prayers, Karate, Laughing therapy also compulsory along with Yoga.
There are multiple instances where the Yoga gurus are arrested for various types of abuses.

Along with all these above mentioned solutions, counselling should be introduced in every hospitals and schools, health centres. It should be conducted by a person who is not money minded and just for name sake.

What was required was counselling . Its very important and really helps. Yoga or meditation would never have helped. They need to open up and speak to a trained counsellor. Such a tragedy could have been avoided. Its about time people gave more importance to counselling than religion, yoga, meditation and rely in trained counsellors.

So Sad to hear such news. Sucide is such a decision in life which comes to mind and heart only in a fraction of second. No one in this world will decide that they will sucide after a month or year. This happens to a person within a fraction of second. May their soul rest in peace and also will pray god to choose a good care taker for that child who is left alone. Its very important coz. its female child.

Only one suggestion/ opinion- Learn to forgive the errors of our life partner and give sufficient time to correct the mistake; Still, if it is really unpleasant to spend the life together, just get separated happily with the best possible legitimate settlement and look for a new life. You will forget the unpleasant past in the due course of the life.

Divorce need not necessarily mean that someone is wrong; its just a case of mismatch.

English translation of a Kannada saying...
'Couple's fight till they eat and sleep'....
    This one is an exception...
    '...Till Eternal Sleep'...
What a waste of life....What about the child now???
Bottom Line is when you enter into wedlock you should know...that there will be quarrels ll the time with some peaceful intervals in between.
    What is marriage without quarrels??
    Young boys and girls..got it??
Live happily...Life is a Divine Gift...

I say, if you are not married yet, wait until your girlfriend turns 40, and then tie the knot.

Absolutely no 'living happily ever after', but there will be some peace!

Neither will have much energy to fight.

Joe Gonsalves mangalore, now beginns hte real fight who will lookafter the girl.Girls and fathers side ,both will be fighting to lookafter ,self when if any bank accounts or gold is there. They will forget there is a orphan child inbetween. It is so tragic happened here. Both were not reif for the marraige. When they have a child, they should forget their all quarrels concentrate on their offspring in bringing up her with love .she should be a middle punkt. Not self.As they suecided, simply forgot they have a child.when husband and wife quarrel whatever the reason is dont go to sleep without saying a sorry or a kiss.Better couple should take a conselling when some indifference arise between them.Pray this child may not get shock of her life when she come to know they are no more there.Heartfelt sympathy to her.may their soul rest in peace.I didnt understand parents of girl when informed them should have called police first ,not her husband.but later.or neighbours.

Mr. Rolf, you have said this without knowing the meaning of triple talaq and its existence. For your information, Triple talaq is not an issue in Muslims but its being forcibly publicised by sanghis to fool people to give wrong informatin about muslims. In my opinion, deserting wife and kicking her out of home like our great chowkidar would have saved their lives. Any couple having difference should follow our great leader.
