Yeddyurappa Accuses Central Government of Step Motherly Treatment to State

Udupi, Mar 8: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said on Saturday March 8 that the union government has been indulging in unnecessary politics as regards the security meeting with the state government.
He was speaking to media persons after visiting the Sri Mahathobara Sri Vishwanatha Temple in Yellur.
Yeddyurappa claimed that he had asked the union government to provide a separate SGP force in the national security meeting held after the Mumbai blast. “Home minister P Chidambaram has participated in security meetings held in all states except Karnataka”, he alleged.
Replying to a question Yeddyurappa said that he had answered the issue of illegal mining along the borders of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, in the assembly. He also pointed out that the former prime minister need not politicize the issue.
When he was asked about family politics in the BJP, the chief minister replied that tickets have been issued to candidates only after consultation with other leaders.
Home minister Dr V S Acharya, MLA Lalaji Mendon, MLA Raghupathy Bhat, and Kuthyaru Jagannatha Shetty were present on the occasion.
