Mangalore: Women’s Awareness Conference on Mar 9

A women's awareness conference will be held at Town Hall on Monday March 9.
 
The event is being organized by Kannada Jagruta Balaga.
 
“Jayanti S Bangera, author, will preside over the function”, said Sanoor Satish Salian, convener, conference reception committee, speaking at the press conference on Saturday March 7.
 
T A Narayana Gowda, state president, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, will inaugurate the ceremony in the presence of Sri Lakshmivara Teerta Swami, Shiroor Math, Udupi.
 
Prof Malini Hebbar, lecturer, G A Bava, retired police inspector, Dr Kripa Amar Alva, advisor, Airport Authority, Mamata S Gatti, member, zilla panchayat, and Rajashree Hegde, will participate as the chief guests.
 
A seminar on women’s problems will be held at 11.30 am while the Siri Channel team will present ‘Samskruti Sinchana’ at 1.30 pm. A talk on opportunities for women will be conducted at 2.30 pm
 
Sri Muktananda Swami, Sri Kshetra Kerinje, Moodbidri, will deliver the benedictory speech at the valedictory function to be held at 4.30 pm.
 
Syamala Bhandary, lawyer, will deliver the valedictory speech on the occasion.
 
Tulu folk programme ‘Satyapurtta Siri’ by Sharada Manishekar, Sanatana Natyalaya, will be staged at 6 pm.
 
Johara Nisar, working president, reception committee, Susheela Adyantaya, vice- president, and Bashir Bikampady, were present at the press conference.
