Mr. Yashpal must look into the availability and selling price of fish in Udupi.
The availability is scant and price is exorbitant for a District that has a rich
resource of fish and fishing. Even the most common fish Boothai or Sardine
is not available in good size, and is imported from Oman!

Most of the good fish is trucked out to Goa, Bangalore, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu
Tourist industry and Restaurants, thus generating good income for the Fish
Federation. However, it does not benefit the local citizens of Udupi.

Fish should be allowed to breed and grow, and over-fishing should be stopped,
so that fish of good size could be caught and made available.

The Malpe Fishing Port should be made more hygienic, as Fish is food, and should
not be scattered all over the pier like garbage, with people trampling all over
and then shovelled off in waiting trucks filled wish crushed ice, with fish water
    dripping all over the roads.

The Municipality should check on this market and the way fish is trucked out of
    Malpe and Udupi
