Puttur: Surging Crowd Makes Koti-Chennayya Kambala a Grand Success

Puttur, Mar 9: The inaugural of Koti-Chennaya Jodukere Kambala was held here on Sunday March 8.

The Kambala, being held under the leadership of Muttappa Rai, has been organized in two fields specially prepared for the purpose in front of Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple here.

A large number of people came from the town and surrounding areas to witness the event. N K Jagannivas Rao inaugurated the event in traditional manner.

The organizers had announced in advance, that the Kambala this year would be a simple affair. Still, there was no dearth for people. Surging crowds ensured that the Kambala this year too, remained a grand event.

The 17th annual Koti-Chennaya Kambala is being organized by the Kambala Committee headed by Chandrahas Shetty. Various leaders and trustees of several temples were present at the inaugural.
