Bangalore, Mar 10: The wall paintings carrying anti-Christian and anti-Muslim slogans which were found on the city walls, as reported on Daijiworld on Monday March 9 morning, have now disappeared, thanks to the ruling government, which ordered the Bangalore Police Commissioner to take action against this development.

As reported in these columns earlier, Hindu Jagarana Vedike had painted walls unleashing hate campaign against Muslims and Christians on city walls. Archbishop Bernard Moras came down heavily on this development and protested. He even informed the matter to the chief secretary of the chief minister, since CM Yeddyurappa was away from Bangalore on Saturday March 7.

Now Daijiworld has learnt that the chief secretary immediately asked city police commissioner Shanker Bidari to look into the matter and remove such slogans from Bangalore walls. Acting upon the instructions given by the government, Bidari made arrangements to literally whitewash wall paintings in and around the city.

Bidari also called Archbishop Moras and informed about the action. He assured Archbishop that action will be taken if any one attempts to hurt the sentiments of any religion through writings on the wall or any other means.

Dear Madhav Nayak, Peace emanates from the heart, mind, body and soul. What is inside comes out. In your own words you say you are secular and support the ideology of BJP and also admit at the same time that these slogans were very well fitted his own party's ideology. With all respect to you and the CM, what is the ideology of BJP? If the credit has to go to CM, then he and his administration should have whitewashed these before any one complaining about it? Not afterwards. The very fact that he allowed them to be there on the public walls (which is an offense)for such a long time and only ordered them to be removed after the complaint of some one speaks a lot about the ideology of a National Party. I appreciate the CM for taking immediate action, but these kind of repetetive things are not good for secularism. I and you are human beings and God created us in his likeness and image. So what is this majority and minority, may be by faith we are different, but by nature we are human beings and the color of our blood is red and we are bound by law of love(Prema). God Bless You.

Mr. Charles, Alwyn - if you do not have the courtesty to appreciate Yeddi for what he has done, then why did you blame Yeddi when the slogans were put? Did he put them? He has been kind enough to get them removed eventhough it very well fitted his own party's ideology. On the other hand, try to understand what I mean by "a majority of Hindus will appreciate Yeddi for this", it means a majority of Hindus like me are secular but if you guys don't shut your accusations, even the majority will turn against you. Stop double standards and hypocracy to leave peacefully.

Mr Nayak, You seem to be bent upon demanding that the credit be given to Yeddy for correcting the wrong done by anti-social elements. If as per you it was on his instructions, then it is definitely good on his part. In the same state of goodness we hope he restrains the confrontation creating and religion bashing people from creating unpleasantness in the society. Some mislead people used by political parties are making peaceful places into unsafe places for general public. Please do not support such actions.Let us all work for a peaceful united atmosphere that we had before the confrontation began.

You allow somebody to make mistakes and you correct them because it is not in the public interest !!! If the writing were right they could have allowed them to be there !!!! Yes we had sided with BJP and that was a mistake !!!!! Hope wise people of all religions show their back to BJP, atleast this time. The atrocities of BJP and their friends shall be stopped !!!!

Mr Victor, Mr Alwyn, . What suits is good, what doesn't is evil. I bet, a majority of Hindus will appreciate Yeddy for this and not Bidari who just followed instructions, so try to come out of your narrow mind and reach out, may be BJP will also side with you sometime in future....

You speak out against these anti-social people poisoning the atmosphere try to motivate them against such anti-social activities and see how everyone will appreciate your initiative too. Maybe more than what you have seen in this column. Wish you good luck when you take this step.

We appreciate the actions of the Karnataka State Government in ensuring that the LIES painted on the walls by anti social criminals have been obliterated. However, full justice will be done only when the culprits who plant the seeds of hatred are caught and appropriately punished. I doubly appreciate and bow to Rev. Archbishop Bernard Moras for his prompt action in prodding the government into action which was otherwise was in a deep slumber. Dear Archbishop, Thank You - we are very proud of you.

Just look at these walls and places where the anti-christian and anti-muslim slogans were written! White-washing the walls is a good thing but it is better to white-wash the brains of such dirty-minded people. The brains should be clean. The people around the world laugh at our culture. The dirty walls and the corners of our cities speak loud for our sense of cleanliness. It is impossible to keep the walls and the cities in our country clean till the brains of such engaged in dirty works are white-washed. Who has to do this job? I hope that we will elect such people in the coming elections.

Christians do not indulge in forcible conversion. We know that nobody is going to achieve anything by forcible conversion. We know very well that question of two Gods does not arise and most educated people understand this. Christianity is only for love, peace and service.
