Udupi: Multitude of Devotees Witness Brahmakalashabishek, Nagamandalotsav, at Yellur Sri Vishwanath Temple

Udupi, Mar 12: ‘Brahmakalashabishek’ and other religious ceremonies were held at the 1000-year-old Sri Vishwanath Temple at Yellur near here, on Thursday March 12. 

Large number of devotees from all over the district arrived at the temple here on Thursday morning. 

The Brahmakalashabishek was held at the auspicious time of 7.25 am by Vedamurti Padoor Laxminarayan Tantri, Bettige Gururaj Tantri, and other Vedic celebrants arrived from across the district.  Temple managing trustee K L Kundantaya was also present on the occasion.

The hundreds of volunteers served the multitude of devotees who had come to witness the Brahmakalashabishek and ‘Nagamandalotsav’ on Thursday.  

Five large televisions were placed in strategic locations for the benefit of thos who had gathered in large numbers to witness the grand religious ceremonies held on the occasion.  

Shuttle buses were provided to transport devotees from Ucchil junction of the Mangalore–Udupi National Highway 17 to the venue.
