Mangalore: Chess Training Camp for Students

Mangalore, Mar 25: A chess training camp will be held at Sharada Vidyalaya in the city, from Saturday April 11 to Wednesday April 22.

The training camp is being organized by Dakshina Kannada District Chess Association.

Experienced chess players will conduct the camp for the benefit of children in the age group of five to 15 years, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Experience instructors of the South Kanara Chess Association will later conduct a detailed training camp for the interested students, at a programme to be organized by United Karnataka Chess Association and All India Chess Federation.

The associations have provided a good opportunity for the students to hone their chess skills and have requested them to actively participate in the camp.

Interested participants have been requested to register their names on or before Thursday April 5, said M S Gururaj, president, Dakshina Kannada District Chess Association.
