Mangaluru: ICYM Kinnigoli set for mega event ‘Sangeeth Sangam-2’ on Apr 27

Mangaluru, Apr 26: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Kinnigoli deanery is all set to conclude its silver jubilee celebrations with a memorable musical nite ‘Sangeeth Sangam-2’, in association with Lawrence D'Souza, a well-known singer, at Kinnigoli Church grounds on April 27 at 6 pm.

The funds raised during the event will go for the medical expenses of financially backward cancer patients.

Many dignitaries from the community, ICYM central council and society will grace the event as chief guests and guests of honour. A large number of youths are expected from the seven parishes of Kinnigoli deanery for the event along with a large number of laity. The much-awaited celebration will have melodious songs, enthralling music, dance performances and comedy skits by talents from Kinnigoli deanery.

Lawrence D'Souza, Palimar will lead the musical nite ‘Sangeeth Sangam-2’, a special attraction of the celebration. New generation singing sensation Nihal Tauro, Konkani singing reality show ‘Mozo Thalo Gaithalo’ runner-up Gavin Menezes and Ashwin D’Costa will be part of the nite with their melodious voices. Konkani’s known singers Joshal D’Souza, Joel Attur, Asha Moras, Anil D’Sa, Stephan, Jasmine, Muralidhar Kamath and Herald Tauro will render their voices for a few evergreen songs. Fareedh and Sandesh will entertain music lovers with a number of Bollywood and Sandalwood songs.

Silver Tones with musicians Roshan, Rajesh, Leston D’Souza, Rajendra, and Wilson Lasrado will provide music for the event.

Well known Master of Ceremony, TV Anchor and writer Alwyn Danthy will compere the mega show. Dance Star Academy, Adyar will mesmerize the gathering with their latest and thrilling dances performances.

About Lawrence D’Souza 

Lawrence D’Souza was an amateur singer, but his love for music prompted him to bring out a complete music album by bringing together experienced music composers, singers, and lyricists. In his first project ‘Istageeth’ itself, he showed the world how passionate he is about music. His second album ‘Chintlam’ was a special album with variety of songs which succeeded in creating new waves in the Konkani world of music. Lawrence is also a director of Daijiworld Media Group.

Besides producing music albums, Lawrence succeeded in making his songs reach to all corners of the world by creative music app ‘LVL Tunes'. By introducing this app, he became the first person in Konkani world to use modern technology for the distribution of songs. Apart from his songs, LVL Tunes also contains albums of other singers and musicians. His first musical nite ‘Sangeeth Sangam’ was held at St Pius Church ground, Palimar on December 25 last year.
