Kundapur, May 2: A unique attempt to extend help to a few helpless families is being made silently by a group of youngsters working abroad, who are motivated by the aim to help the helpless. The organization they have formed is named 'Israel Helping Fund Group and C Mynar'. This organization has been bringing cheers in the lives of poor people silently since the last two years.

This organization is led by Dinakar Putran. It identifies poor and helpless people from various parts of this taluk and hands them over aid. In a single day, Shashikanth, representative of the organization, distributed Rs 1, 40,000 to such families on a single day.

Totally, Rs 1.40 lac was distributed including a sum of Rs 15,000 given to Ganesh Bovi who is suffering from the problem of bone marrow defect, from Amasebail Machchattu, while similar amount was given to the family of Roshitha, an eleven-month old girl from Balkoor who is down with acute weakness, Rs 15,000 to Akash Devadiga from Haregodu, who is encountering the problem in both the eyeballs, Rs 10,000 to Asiya from Hemmady who is facing abject poverty, Rs 15,000 to Rohi as his family is in utter poverty, Rs 20,000 to Nagaratna from Muvattumudi because of poverty, Rs 1 5,000 to oaddress weakness of eight-year-old Sumith Bhandary from Maravanthe, Rs 20,000 to treat broken spinal cord of Gopal Madivala (45) from Koluru. All these financial assistances were done by cheques at the doorsteps of the families. Shashikanth also went to the house of a retired soldier from Belagavi and handed a cheque of Rs 40,000.

A team of 15 young men from coastal Karnataka who went to Israel seeking jobs, has been rendering these services under the leadership of Dinakar Putran since the last two years. Initially, the group formed 'Israel Helping Fund. It then was joined by another organisation, 'C.Mynar'. The organization identifies helpless families from all over Karnataka and helps them with medical treatment and financial assistance. During the two years, the organization has handed over cheques totaling to Rs 3.6 lacs.

The organization plans to continue to help the helpless and disabled people every year. The group has set up a donation box at Israel to collect donations from the locals. The group members also contribute Rs 20,000 every month to the fund. The members identify ailing persons in their localities and also select harassed families in their localities. Whenever the members visit native places, they hand over financial assistance.

Let us hope that Israel Helping Fund Group and C.Mynar members will get more and more support to help poor and distressed people in a bigger way.
