Bengaluru: Will BJP try 'Operation Lotus' again to break coalition govt in state?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, May 5: The state BJP is waiting anxiously to pounce on the rumours that all is not well between Congress and JD (S), coalition partners in the state government. The main reason for this is not abiding by the alliance rule of supporting each other in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election campaigning and polling. This has given indication that BJP might try one more 'Operation Lotus' to bring down the coalition government and take the reign of power in the state.

In addition, BJP is also trying all ends up to win both the by-polls that will be held for the two assembly seats soon and thereby gain an upper hand in the legislative assembly. The BJP candidates and the state leaders had sought votes in the name of Modi for the Lok Sabha elections. However, for the by-polls, the state BJP is taking the friction between the coalition partners as their main weapon in campaigning. State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa will start campaigning for the by-polls in Kundagol and Chincholi on Sunday, May 5 itself.

B S Yeddyurappa

Forest minister Satish Jarkiholi said, "BJP will definitely try to destabilize the state coalition government if they get more seats in the Lok Sabha elections. The possibility of 'Operation Lotus' will be very minimal if BJP does not win more seats in the Lok Sabha elections. The work of destabilizing the non-BJP state governments has become very common during the tenure of Modi government at the center. These are extremely dangerous for the survival of democracy in the country. The principle of alliance was not followed properly by both Congress and JD (S) during the Lok Sabha elections in many parts of the state. Attempt has to be made to set this right in coming days. All tactics are formed to win both Kundagola and Chincholi bye-elections."

Only time will tell if BJP will be successful in yet another attempt of 'Operation Lotus'.

Today Modi in his speech said
"Your father (Rajiv Gandhi) was termed 'Mr Clean' by his courtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrastachari number 1' (corrupt number 1)".

    Vajpayeeji's words....
"Rajiv Gandhi Is Why I Am Alive": A Remarkable Story In Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Words....

The book quotes Atal Bihari Vajpayee as saying: "When Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister, he somehow found out I had a kidney problem and need treatment abroad. One day he called me to his office and said he was going to include me in India's delegation to the UN and hoped I would use the opportunity to get the treatment I needed. I went to New York and that is one reason I am alive today".

Rajiv Gandhi, who was prime minister of India from 1984 to 1989, reportedly said he had told his officials that the BJP leader should return only when his treatment was complete. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was then leader of opposition.

In a way Modi became the PM because of BJP and BJP became strong because of Advani and Vajpayee.... If Vajpayee had died in 80's, BJP wouldn't have been so successful.

Manishankar Aiyar has rightly said "Neech Aadmi".....

Not only Karnataka, BJP will try Operation Kamala even in Rajastan and MP as they cannot swallow the defeat in these States. In Chattigarh, they will try to do the Operation Kamala, similar like Arunachal Pradesh.

Again how it depends on how many MP seats Congress is going to win and who will be the PM at the Centre.

Ranguji, we cannot always blame this guy. This is again classic case of assumption by media (and cong followers) and in the end line believing what they assume as fact.

Does anyone really believe that they have not been trying all this while or that they are not trying now or that they will not continue trying each day? Kuntri kings can never stop their kuntris. There is no other party slush with black money like the BJP. The BJP is spending 20 times more money than the next party in these elections and in spite of all the money power, muscle power and compromised institutions they still are in trouble and will not get a majority on their own. The true impact of demonetization is now before the world to see. It was just a sham and a scam to fill the coffers of the BJP and its cronies.
