About Rovina Britto

Rovina Britto is the daughter of Anil and Patcy Britto hailing from Padil in the city. An alumnus of St Joseph Engineering College, she preferred to follow her passion in photography over engineering.

Rovina’s parents supported their daughter to follow her dreams and take up photography when everyone else mocked her for not pursuing jobs in engineering field. It was a huge challenge for a young girl to get recognised in the photography profession, but Rovina took it up and believed in her passion to proceed towards her goal.

In the initial stage, Rovina Britto did model photoshoots with a basic DSLR camera. This paved the way for her to buy new equipment required for her profession.

In 2014, Rovina Britto's Kameron Studio was born as a destination wedding photography provider. Rovina Britto's work and the quality of her photography started to speak for itself and business flourished, prompting her to open one more branch in Gujarat.

Rovina had always wanted to travel, and by opting photography, she got opportunities to travel to Leh, Ladakh and other northern parts of India for her assignment. It was a tough challenge for Rovina to travel because of weather conditions, roads, security conditions in Kashmir, and also long durations it took to travel from one place to another.

At a very young age, Rovina is famed to be a professional female photographer who is freezing moments in a precious way through her photography skills.

Rovina brings creativity and joy in wedding photography that is truly depicted in her wedding photoshoots which are striking and appealing to the eyes.

Speaking to Daijiworld.com, Rovina Britto says, "Wedding Sutra had conducted a competition on wedding photography and filmmaking based on overall technical abilities and creativity. It is an all-India-level competition which is judged by national and international jury. Kameron Studios has bagged awards for album design and pre-wedding films. Kameron studios has two branches, one in Karnataka and another in Gujarat, which are basically into destination wedding shoots all over India.

"Kameron Studios was started four years ago. I am an engineering graduate but never wanted to do a 9-to-5 job. I wanted to start something on my own. I was doing photography during my engineering days and this became an advantage when I chose photography as a career," Rovina adds.

Being a female photographer is always a challenge, especially travelling to northern states. Nowadays people are accepting female photographers but initially it was difficult, Rovina says.

"I had to create my own market. It is not easy breaking into a market of established photographers. Initially it was difficult to get into the market. My parents have always been supportive and stood by me. Photography is a creative field and has a business side to it as well,” Rovina says.
