Puttur: Delegation of Havyak Community Requests Ram Bhat to Withdraw Nomination

Puttur, Apr 7: A delegation of  the leaders of Havyak community to which Jan Sangh Lok Sabha candidate from Mangalore Urimajal Ram Bhat belongs to, met him on the night of Sunday April 5 night here, it is learnt. The leaders asked the honorary president of Swabhimani Vedike to desist from fighting against the BJP.

It is gathered, the delegation appraised Bhat that his efforts to defeat the BJP candidate will send wrong signals among the Havyak community members. It also pressed him to put national interest before self and help for the success of the BJP candidate from here, it is reported.

It is not immediately known as to what Ram Bhat told them or whether his determination to fight the BJP tooth and nail has been jaded by their efforts.
