Bengaluru, May 10: Former MP and head of Congress social media division, Ramya alias Divya Spandana, has hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for his remarks about former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, having undertaken family vacation by using 'INS Viraat' of the Indian Navy.

In a Tweet, she said no one has forgotten the controversy created in 2016 when he accompanied by Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar, used the navy ship, 'INS Sumitra' as a taxi. She also enclosed a photo showing Akshay Kumar inside the ship.

She also captioned the photo saying, "No one has forgotten the controversy created by Akshay Kumar, a Canadian national, having travelled with you along with his family in 2016 by 'INS Sumitra'.’

When addressing a rally at New Delhi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister had accused former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, father if Rahul Gandhi, of using Indian Navy warship, 'INS Viraat' for family pleasure trips. Congress leadership had retorted by charging Modi of using aircrafts of the Indian Air Force like personal taxis by for minimal fare.
