Kochi: BJP to form Christian Protection Force

Kochi, May 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday has decided to form a protection force to ensure safety of Christian community following terrorist attacks that took place in churches on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the state meet of BJP Minority Morcha in Kochi, BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai said “As per Christian belief, the Ascension Day marks the 40th day of Jesus Christ's resurrection, We are planning a special prayer meet on May 29 displaying photographs of the people who were killed in the serial blasts in Sri Lanka in accordance with this belief.”

With this new move, the political party aims to influence the minority groups of Christians. BJP plans to form the Christian Protection Force under BJP Minority Morcha. A fasting will also be observed on May 29.

The party expects the support of Christian groups in the new move. Activities of Christian Protection Force will be carried out as a move against global terrorism, said BJP party sources in Kerala.

    Shocking to note from comments that people support conversion. Why is it that you want to convert Hindus rather than working for betterment of own people. Why do you want to support such faith healers & evangalists that use hypnosis & black magic on poor innocent people to convert.     Let the people choose the choice of their faith.
    Buddhism was the religion of India. Hinduism came to India in some other form.

    Do you know how many thousand of Christian NGOs lost their funding due to the fund blocking by your anti-Christian Modi led Government?

    Looking at the comments it is obvious that the Christian community has rejected this divisive idea. This community believes in love and service to others, not fighting and they trust God to give them security through the authority.ie government and law and order dept. Not political backed organizations which have hidden agenda..
    BJP has to start thinking as all of us are Indians first, not as different communities..

    By and large, under Hindus & Buddhists, Christians are not discriminated not suffered much.
    Gulf countries are also fair. Problem is with Pak, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lybya, Egypt etc.
    Like wise most of the Christian countries also don't discriminate anyone on the basis of his religion.
    Be it for jobs or admission for educational institutions, they select on merits.
    In the wake of Sri Lankan attacks & NIA arrests, heightened awakening is required.
    It would have been more appropriate, if security agencies remain alert and act promptly, or any force that alerts security threat to ANY CIVILIAN TARGETS!

    Let's not chant god god on each and every thing. Instead, let's see god's presence in every human being especially in our neighborhood, our friend circles. Let's love, respect them irrespective of castes and creeds. Follow god's commandment love one another and that time god's presence we can feel in everyone around us who will definitely come to rescue in our emergency and In most difficult times.     A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

    Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, "Jump in, I can save you."

    The stranded fellow shouted back, "No, it's OK, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me."

    So the rowboat went on.

    Then a motorboat came by. "The fellow in the motorboat shouted, "Jump in, I can save you."

    To this the stranded man said, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."

    So the motorboat went on.

    Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, "Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety."

    To this the stranded man again replied, "No thanks, I'm praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."

    So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.

    Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, "I had faith in you but you didn't save me, you let me drown. I don't understand why!"

    To this God replied, "I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?"

    Very correct.
    This story I heard in a sermon.
    As it's said in the the story, most of the time, it's God who send help through his people.
    But we fail to recognise God's hand in the good works of people. Mostly God don't rescue directly but he does through his people.
    Let's remember, it's God who sent prophets to deliver his message.

The Lord is my Shepherd, there is nothing I shall want, fresh and green are the pastures where He gives me repose, near restful waters He leads me, to revive my dropping spirit - if I walk in the valley of darkness, no evil will I fear for He is there with His crook and staff to give me comfort,
    We Christians only want to live in peace, freedom, equality and dignity. We are not afraid of death as we know we will die one day. The early Christians went through severe persecutions which the world has ever seen for three hundred years and God protected those who were destined to live and spread the message of the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

    If anybody is doubting then Jesus christ is the proof of die on the cross. Christ is real. And its followers will follow him with imitating his pain through out the world. Being a Christian means charity and suffering towards others. We are proud and do not require protection from humans.
