Mangaluru, May 18: A week after Shreemathi Shetty was brutally murdered, the police on Saturday May 18 took the accused to the various spots in the city where the victim's body parts were found.

The murder of Shreemathi Shetty that shocked the city came to light on May 12, with her body parts being found in a gunny bag near Kadri Park and near Nandigudde graveyard. Her head was found in a helmet and her feet were recovered a couple of days later from another spot at Kadri. Her scooter was located at Nagori with blood stains on the wheel.

The police who formed three times to investigate the murder arrested Jonas Samson and his wife Victoria. The motive for the murder turned out to be a financial dispute.

Samson had been admitted in hospital. After his discharge on Saturday May 18, the police took him to the various spots where the body parts of the victim were found, for the purpose of identification and further probe.

Samson showed the police the spot at Nandigudde where he dumped a part of Shreemathi's body, and then led them to a spot near Padua park where he had dumped her feet. Thereafter, they went to Kadri Park near where Shreemathi's head was found, and then to Nagori where he had left her scooter that he had used to commit the horrific crime.

After Nagori, the accused led the police to Pumpwell, where he went after committing the murder. Lastly, he took them to his rented house at Sootarpete where he murdered Shreemathi before chopping her to pieces.

Police sources said that all through the crime spot inspection, Samson showed no remorse while recalling the murder.

The police were accompanied by a team of forensic experts. Inspectors Sudheer Hegde and M Mahesh, part of the investigating team, were also present.

Actually, I’ve been doing compounding for so many years & I’ve not seen the accused so relaxed while taking around the crime scenes. Victim had divorced first husband, second one is in jail, third one, 2 years courtship & 2 months marriage, fourth one (would be) rich guy. Am I missing any clues clue....... And on top of that another one in Vijayapura........

We are living in difficult times in Mangalore with two senseless murders in a span of two weeks. Anger is the cause of all these problems. The issue of these two murders - 1. For not taking his call and 2. For asking return of money. On both occasion the victims were not at fault but in a flick lost their precious life. Finding it difficult in today's life to trust anybody.

Its very sad that , we are giving all sort of excuses for the murder of Ms. Shreemathi, this poor woman was struggling and making ends meet to make a living,... and in a matter of no time this two sick couple who look like addicts, took away her life for not being able to pay back loan they had borrowed.
The Police should do everything in their power and capacity and punish them by hanging at the earliest. under the fast court. we cannot show sympathy for such animals, who killed her mercilessly for asking her own money, their punishment should be a lesson for others....Rest in Peace Ms.Shreemathi

I agree that Samson and his wife did a biggest crime which they shouldn’t have done and they need to punished but at the same time no one wants to know in what difficulties they both were suffering from. They were completely broke and it was difficult for them to pay the rent and on top of that pressure from both owner of the house and money lender. I am sure he didn’t kill Srimathi intentionally,. The thing is he should have asked the help of his church members or any charity organization for help. The reason he does not have any guilt in killing Srimathi may be, he can spend his remaining life (till death)!in jail without worrying about the loan and rent. Anyways no one can bring the dead person back now, Let is pray for Srimathi’s soul may rest in peace.

Am not supporting anyone concerning this murder. The guardian of the law know best. For most of us (strictly my own purview) and if I am not wrong, human tendency depicts that a person's mindset goes blank whenever he's in a catch22situation or his thinking doesn't go per his plan/discretion - he falters and can't think "out of the box". Only professionals having the knack and the aptitude know perfectly well how to proceed successfully step-after-step. Kavita says he should have done this and that and what not. He was tangled up in situations which made him desperate and could not come out of. This option must have provoked him and he did this through his conscience. Easier said than done. Had he been a professional, he could have escaped the law and he might have been scott free the rest of his life. There are always two sides to a coin.

    Dear Kavitha,
There is an old age saying "chape edhastu kaalu chachu". Everyone slots for their livelihood . Likewise this couple too could do some jobs to earn their livelihood than living on others money their entire life. They are young and energetic. So y the need for church and other organizations to help them. Churches do help families who really deserve and not the lazy bugs.
