Dubai, May 24: Dubai airports confirmed their plans to close northern runway for three days for refurbishment. On Friday May 24 the runway will be closed from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm UAE local time, on Sunday May 26 from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, on Monday May 27 from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Dubai airports said the closure is regarding some necessary maintenance and upgrades to ensure safety and better service.
The airport authorities informed that they planned the closures during the least busy hours to avoid flight disruptions and passengers’ inconvenience.
Dubai airport authorities requested their passengers travelling on the mentioned dates to check their flight timing before heading to the airport and to check with their respective airlines for any updates.
The southern runway of Dubai International Airport is closed from April 16 to May 30 for a major rehabilitation project.
