Gas leak in cargo ship kills 8 in China

Beijing, May 25 (IANS): Eight people died after carbon dioxide leaked in a cargo ship at Longyan Port in east China's Shandong province on Saturday.

Authorities in Rongcheng city said the accident happened around 4 p.m. in a Fujian-registered ship, Xinhua news agency reported.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
