Rahul’s offer to resign suicidal: Lalu

New Delhi, May 28 (IANS): Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad on Tuesday said Congress President Rahul Gandhi's decision to resign will be suicidal not just for his own party but also all opposition.

"Rahul's offer to resign suicidal. Opposition parties had the common goal to dislodge BJP but failed to build a national narrative. The result in a particular election can never alter the reality in as diverse and plural a country as India," Lalu Prasad, who is in jail since last year in the Fodder scam case, tweeted.

The RJD faced a complete rout in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, while Lalu Prasad was imprisoned at the Birsa Munda Central Jail. He has not kept well and had also been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ranchi.

His Twitter handle says while in jail the RJD chief's tweets would be managed by his family.

Gandhi had offered to resign during the Congress Working Committee meeting held on Saturday. The CWC had not accepted the offer but media reports since have said that Gandhi is determined to find a successor and pass on the baton.

Congress should focus on propeople schemes like Modis Ujwla so that poor are benifited in those states where Congress has govt .Inspite of that if you loose you will have a saisfaction that you have done good to society

Modi has to complete all the pending promises of first term and also, must fulfil new commitments.
No scope for any pretext or blaming the previous government and Gandhi family. People have voted BJP and let them wait and be happy how they will be benefitted at the end of the term.

Rahul's resignation will be suicidal for the BJP. Modi covered his abject failures on the shoulders of martyrs and on the Nehru Gandhi family. Now with the Gandhi's moving away, he will not have a fig leaf to cover his blunders and the real Pappu will be exposed. I hope the Congress will elect a young energetic leader at the top and also at state levels and these leaders forget everything for the next 5 years and go to the grass root levels and among the villages and hamlets and spread the secular message of the congress and and expose all of Modi's lies and jumlas. In Karnataka we have leaders like Krishna Byre Gowda and Mithun Rai and in other states we have Sachin Pilot, Jyoti Scindia who can rebuilt the congress. I also hope they nominate their next candidate for PM well before 2024.

That is the best way to rejuvenate dying party from further humiliation and disastrous future.
Sonia and Rahul are the main people for the down fall and mistrust of people and golden opportunity for BJP to gain new heights in political arena.
Bring an end to dynastic principles and rename the party with new party present. Earlier the better.

Mr. Bhandarkar remember if we dont have an opposition then it will be dictatorship. When we need strong leader we also need a strong opposition.

    I agree LSM....
There should be a strong opposition....
Certainly not this kind...still busy in their own selfish interests instead of doing something for our country.
    There should be an overhaul...

By any means we won't allow rahul to resign. We will protest on road. In south people will attempt to do suicide. Rahul is bjp's lucky mascot.
In 2024 bjp cross 400 seats...if he his active.
