New Delhi, May 31: After the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, Smriti Irani came to the rescue of veteran singer Asha Bhosle, who got stranded in the crazy rush after the ceremony.
The legendary singer Asha Bhosle was present among other attendees from Bollywood for the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 3, 2019.
When the magnificent ceremony which was attended by more than 6,000 dignataries came to an end, the 85-year-old singer was stranded alone and looked for help to get back home. After reaching home, the legendary singer tweeted an image of herself with Smriti Irani and shared the details of how Smriti Irani came to her rescue.
Asha Bhosle tweeted, "I was stranded in the crazy rush post PM oath ceremony. No one offered to help me except Smriti Irani who saw my plight & made sure I reached home safely. She cares and that's why she won."
Of all the BJP candidates who won the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Smriti Irani garnered the maximum attention by winning the much talked about Amethi constituency where she defeated the Congress party president Rahul Gandhi. She is one of the youngest ministers in Modi government and won the Amethi parliamentary seat with a margin of 55,120 votes.
