Bengal's Kanchrapara turns violent with 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan

Kolkata, Jun 1 (IANS): West Bengal Police on Saturday resorted to baton charge to disperse a group of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters staging a demonstration and shouting "Jai Shri Ram", ahead of a Trinamool Congress party meeting at Kanchrapara in North 24 Parganas district.

The police officers tried to keep the BJP workers away from the area through which the convoy of Trinamool leaders incouding some ministers were scheduled to pass.

They also resorted to baton charge to disperse the demonstrators.

Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been deployed to control the situation.

    Hindus are in danger! Hindus are in danger!...... The only slogan of Hindutva Brigade is yielding fruit in bounty. Are 18% Muslims, 2.2% Christians threat to Hinduism? Since centuries we were not in danger unfortunately we are in danger only recently. I feel piety for our young generation who fall into the pit which power craving politician play. I assure neither BJP nor Congres will help you live good life rather they live a good life in your expense. Beware my friends donot waste your time in this dirty politics of religion. Be a Human first and rest will will taken care by the divine.

    Who aligned with PDP party in Kashmir. Is it Congress or BJP. Politicians do not give damn to common man's safety except power for them.
