Bengaluru: BSY happy to be opposition leader, not to topple government

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 1: By saying that he is under instructions from the top leadership against destabilizing the state government and that he would be content donning the role of the leader of the opposition for the present, B S Yeddyurappa on Friday May 31, dropped enough hints to indicate that 'Operation Lotus' will not happen for the time being.

Yeddyurappa had said repeatedly in the past that immediately after the Lok Sabha election result is announced, close to 20 legislators would resign and join the BJP, the state government would crash, and he would be the chief minister, sung a different tune on Friday. He had also said that the state government will cease to remain on the next day of Modi being sworn-in as the Prime Minister. However, on his return from the swearing-in ceremony, he changed his statement, saying that he would not lure any Congress or JD(S) legislators into his party as he has been instructed by the party leadership.

Yeddyurappa also said that he does not hanker for power but noted that Siddaramaiah and others have been getting things done as per their wishes by the coalition government through plans. He added that he would not speak on the assumption that mid-term poll will be held.

He asked the coalition partners to work together for the development of the state and manage the drought situation effectively. He said his party will support good development initiatives and criticized the government for failing to implement the loan waiver scheme even after a year since announcing it.

At the same time, he thanked the Prime Minister for choosing four MPs from the state as ministers and allotting them good portfolios.

BSY Knows the truth. Exit polls and the corresponding results both in 2014 and 2019 clearly points to the EVM Gutala. I am sure the truth will one day finally come out that EVM's were hacked to hijack democracy in India. With such strong anti incumbance across the country against the central govt and especially Modi, such sponsored victories with the help of EVM's with such wide victory margins clearly indicate that both the 2014 and 2019 elections have been rigged and reduced to a farce.

The results of the local body elections in Karnataka with ballot papers so soon after the Lok Sbha elections has confirmed these fears that the lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019 have been rigged with the help of EVM's.

Yeddi is right. But if the coalition govt collapses, then it will be because of the infighting members of congress and JDs.
