Mangaluru: Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday in Karnataka coast and Kerala

Mangaluru, Jun 3: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Kasargod districts will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday as crescent moon was not sighted on Monday in the region.

Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliyar from city gave this information.

As crescent moon was also not sighted in Kerala, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated there also on Wednesday.

With this month-long Ramadan ends on Tuesday.

    People from these region just follow saudi arabia. In other parts of india will observe one day later..when they view moon from naked eye.

    It is not your cup of tea...people of these region celebrate Edd only after sighting the moon with naked eye...
    Saudi is celebrating edd tomorrow, where as Indians are not...your notion is proved WRONG....

    Not Exactly....
    It Cleary depends on Moon sighting, there are certain conditions while declaring, which the Qazi will consider.

    Saudi is celebrating Eid tomorrow and as we have not sighted Moon today we will be celebrating Eid on Wednesday.
