Video shows Mamata breaking open a 'BJP office'

Kokata, Jun 4 (IANS): A video of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee breaking open a "BJP office" in North 24 Parganas district's Naihati area and painting her party's name and symbol in black has gone viral, drawing her flak from netizens.

Banerjee on May 30 had gone to Naihati in the aftermath of a majority of Trinamool councillors crossing over to the BJP, which emboldened the saffron outfit to capture the ruling party's office there.

The Trinamool blamed new BJP recruit and Barrackpore MP Arjun Singh for the capture of its office by his henchmen.

Banerjee, who has hit the streets to combat the rise of an aggressive BJP in her state, visited Naihati on May 30 and spoke at a gathering before leading her party workers to the office.
