Bengaluru: Coalition with JD(S) is reason for failure of Congress – MP Sumalatha

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Jun 7: “The coalition with JD(S) is the reason why Congress lost elections in the state. People have not accepted Congress-JD(S) coalition,” said Member of Parliament from Mandya, Sumalatha Ambareesh.

Speaking in an interview Sumalatha said that she tried to make Congress leaders aware about this. “But they did not think over it and listened only to what JD(S) was saying. Coalition with JD(S) in the state made Congress lose,” she added.

“Congress had excellent candidates who could win in several constituencies and Congress had an upper hand in those constituencies. But they made easy way for BJP to win,” she informed.

“Congress would have won at least ten seats if it had contested independently without JD(S). Congress had given up many constituencies in which they could win,” she said.

whether alone or with any other ally, congress is closed chapter now....in UP, they lost deposit in 67 of the 70 seats contested by them.....if Gandhi family can take back seat, and hand over leadership to Shashi Tharoor or Sachin Pilot, it may survive otherwise...no one will contest on Congress ticket in next LS elections.......

Couple of days back we heard about Siddus 'master stroke ' meet with Sumalatha. What was it then? If Sumalatha has to openly say something like this. Sumalatha still appears to give 'burnol bhagya' to Congis.
