Mysuru, Jun 7: Sathyanarayan, senior Congress leader and former MLA passed away at his home at Gungral Chatra in the city on the night of Thursday, June 6. He represented the Chamundeshwari assembly constituency earlier.
Sathyanarayan died due to age-related sickness. He is survived by his wife Lakshmi, sons Jagadish, Arun Kumar and daughter S Sunitha.
Sathyanarayan represented the Chamundeshwari assembly constituency in 2008 after he won the elections on Congress party ticket.
Siddaramaiah had contested from the Varuna assembly constituency during that time.
