Mumbai to get own cyber crime police station

Mumbai, Jun 15: After the long wait chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone for the city's first-ever cyber crime police station in Bandra West on Saturday.

Last year, cyber crime team received almost 1,300 complaints of which they solved only a few cases. Once the project is completed, detection of cyber crime cases in future will happen smoothly.

Cyber crime police station helps people to lodge complaints online. While filing a cyber crime complaint, one needs to provide name, corresponding address and contact details for mailing and the written complaint has to be addressed to the head of the Cyber Crime Cell, Mumbai.
