Hope of early return for 53 people stranded in Kuwait

Kuwait, Jun 18: Sources said that out of about 72 persons from India who have been stranded in Kuwait without job and proper food, there is hope for 53 including 33 from the city for early return to India. Processes relating to their return are in final stages, they added.

The process of cancelling visas of 53 persons from India will be complete in three days. Once they get back their passports, they would be able to undertake return journey. They however are in need of Rs 25,000 approximately towards fare for returning to India and towards this end, expect people to help them.

 

At the Shoun meeting held on June 2, 53 Indians had signed the documents relating to cancellation of visa and returning to India. The company had informed Indian embassy there that it would follow up the dialogue process with these people after Ramzan.

Sources said that at the recent meeting, the company has agreed to cancel visas of the people left high and dry, and to return passports to these former employees.
