Parents should have control on their children.
Parents should not encourage drinking for children at an young age.
If you do such incidents are bound to happen.

RIP Alden Peris, may his soul rest in peace. Now during college days the students enjoy life. Parents give them money, bikes, cars and not only boys even girls. Now there are footpaths, malls, hotels for these students to waste money.

    Any way RIP bro
    Parents are responsible for this.
Why parents leave children in one place and they stay in one place. ? Why there is no BBA degree course in chickmagalur? What is the need for students to enjoy in resorts.? Why the parents give too much money to students?
Parents must teach children how difficult to earn money!!!
I was working in Kundapur resort before moving to Kuwait!!
There I saw many teenage students from Manipal enjoy on beach overnight and early morning they leave..
What more parents can expect from these students

    Mr John
Parents always wants to see bright future of their children. As one among best colleges are situated in Mangalore , they want their children admitted to one among the best.
Yes , it is true that some student instead of studying they enjoy . Main reason is that students misguided by their friends or circumstances make them to follow their friends. For this reason we cannot blame parents. Parents as i said earlier doing their duty like helping their children to do homework. End of the day, students are getting rewards from their teachers for the homework. Parents only happy watching their children prosperity!

Especially NRI's should take care of their children . Daily parents should talk to their children and enquire about day to day things happened. One of my bro's son (elder ) took admission to one of best college in Mangalore. Yes he is leaving first time from his parents and joining grandpa and grandma in mangalore (AAb and Vodilimai). After reading this incident he called me early morning, I gave confident to him and told him bro dont worry god is with you . Your son will be protected from all evil spirits. Keep faith on god ! Like this we should fill confident in our friends and relatives.

    Mr. John,
Just after reading one news report you can’t give a judgment. Present the parents lost the precious gift of god and no one can full fill their loss and already they are in deep trauma if you don’t want to console them and at least say a word of sympathy don’t increase their grief by directly blaming them . Before giving such comments please look into the other too.

John ,mangalore/ kuwait ,what is wrong with you?why this aggression ?Your comment gives a heavy blow to the bereaved family.Cool down .why do you make parents responsible for everything.he was a grownup boy of 21years old.why parents do leave children in another place ,that can have many reasons.why should we discuss here? Its everybodys private reasons.I specially want to say in my last comment I had overseen that he was swimming in resort.some comment like excess alcohol.People please be bit careful and sensitive. If any post martum was done ,can makeout the truth.we have only to console parents but not judge .as we too dont like to o.Ther can be many reasons to die, young or old.God decides and we obey.We pray for his soul.

@ritaand@mr goveas this boy is not related to me he is same like our brother but it hurts and bringing up for 20 years is not easy how much difficulty for bringing up and educating a child only parents knows it pains when young men lose life in such a manner in the company of some bad friends!! I have a son I observed him when he grows up he tends to be more in friends company and he told me he will go to study to a distant place. But I didn’t allow. I kept him with me and he is doing well
What I mean to say is parents should live with children if they are more interested in friends company. Keep an eye on them.
For me nothing!!!i am not the loser.
But parents will be the loser..
This is only advice to parents for taking care their children future
If I am wrong I apologize and say sorry

People go to resorts to enjoy & they pay for it. It's the responsibility of the resort management to safeguard it's customers. It's wrong to comment he was drunk & went to swim etc.. etc.. etc.. Irresponsible resort management needs to be punished in this incident.

A fully drunk man can drown even in a foot of water. This resort has a bar. Then, it was not the responsibility of the owner to guard the swimming pool ? In some countries, even in your private villa, you have to enclose the swimming pool and lock it. If it is not done, any neighbor or road side child comes inside, falls in the swimming pool and dies, you are arrested. There is no substitute for safety.

All swimming pools above 4 feet water compulsory needs to have a Life Guard.
There was no Life Guard hence Resort Owners are saying Alden Peris was Drunk.
    Rest in Peace Alden ...

Whether he was drunk or sober, if there was a life guard, such incident would not have happened. This is surely the carelessness of resort owner, who should be taken to task. RIP Alden Peris.

RIP. Can't imagine the pain of his parents. Students building drinking habits is sad. Its equally paining to see when parents drink to show that they can afford to.
