Mangaluru: Man absconding for a year with 19 cases arrested

Mangaluru, Jun 30: City police arrested a person who has 19 cases registered against him and was absconding since the last one year.

Harris alias Chandu Harris alias Chandu, who is 26-year-old, has been charged with murder and robbery. Warrants were pending against him in Suratkal, Barke, Mangaluru North and Panambur police stations, but he was absconding.

On Saturday, June 29, Mangaluru police arrested Harris from Kasaba Bengre, behind Kileri Masjid. He has been produced before the court.

Harris was traced by the Mangaluru police under the leadership of Mangaluru police commissioner Sandeep Patil IPS, deputy police commissioners Hanumantharaya, and Lakshmi Ganesh and Mangaluru North assistant commissioner of police Srinivas Gowda R.

Panambur station additional police inspector Mohan Kottary, PSI Umesh Kumar M N and team members Radhakrishna, Shailendra, Dadasaheb were in the team that arrested Harris.
