Mangaluru: Stabbed multiple times, Diksha responds to treatment, speech

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jul 2: Diksha, who was stabbed with a knife repeatedly by her stalker at Bagambila within Ullal police station limits, has been responding well to the treatment. She also responded to words uttered by the nurses at the hospital where she is being treated, sources added.

In the meantime, accused in the case, identified as Sushanth, has shown good recovery. The police, based on his mental condition, will take further action.

A team of doctors has been keeping close watch on the health condition of Diksha. During the CT scan also, the doctors did not identify any serious complications. Blood clot that has been noticed near her kidney is being removed and her health condition is near normal, sources stated.

Sushanth, in the meantime, is expected to be produced in the court by the police in a couple of days. Police personnel have been keeping a close watch on him. His mother is giving him company in the hospital ward. There is likelihood of him being referred to psychiatry department, it is said.

In the meantime, Nitte University, in recognition of the nurse who rushed to the rescue of the girl in the face of threats posed by the attacker of stabbing those coming near her, has honoured her. In comparison to the grit and courage shown by this lady, a scooter rider who drove past the scene of the crime as recorded in the video clip went ahead without making any effort to help Diksha.

    To obtain inner peace...

"The moment someone offends you is the moment to forgive and forget. The other person may have committed a sin but you are not God to condemn him, forgive him and you will avoid committing a sin yourself. Be merciful and you will obtain mercy on the day of judgment.

When you do not forgive, you create resentment in your heart, which will work against the person who offended you and will serve as the platform to harden your heart. You will accumulate more resentment against other people and in the end you will have many enemies. The evil of your resentments will be your sin; it will surround you with darkness and destroy all your chances to be at peace with your self, with your neighbor and with God.

You will not find happiness on earth as long as you have resentments, therefore you must forgive and forget in order to obtain interior peace and to reconcile your self with others and with God."

Thank god Diksha is responding to treatment. Hope she recovers fully the physical and mental trauma. This incident is a poor commentary on our society where a young girl has no space or freedom to be left alone. Has no freedom to say no. Such insane possessiveness and mindless violence. Real love lets go. Timely intervention of the brave nurse who helped her is a ray of hope that humanity acts while others passively record the dance of death. Get well soon Diksha.

So relieved to hear about Diksha’s recovery.... hope she recovers fully soon and comes out of it Asap.
I am really glad to hear about the acknowledgment of the Nurse’s brave move.. (u could hear the video makers discouraging her) while all other men on the road were so scared of the tiny knive .. 2 or 3 people could have attacked him with sticks and stones to overpower him.

Sushanth will likely escape the law..
I have a feeling, their lawyers will uses IPC84 of criminal law..
According to it any crime is not an offense if done in an insane mind.
That's why sushanths family members asked for Psychiatry doctor.
Once he is given psychiatry treatment.. They will use it as evidence in the Court that he was in state of insane mind.

    Infamous case of serial killer;

Raghav went on a killing spree for over three years in the 1960s, casting a spell of fear over the entire city. Parks and streets emptied out at dusk and in many areas, nervous residents armed themselves with sticks and patrolled the streets. There were several incidents in which beggars and homeless men were badly assaulted by panicky crowds. The murders took place in two lots – the first between 1965 and 1966 when 19 people were attacked. The second round of killings took place in 1968, and on 27 August, a sub-inspector from Mr Kulkarni's team recognised him from photographs and descriptions given by those who had survived his attacks.
Raghav's sentence was reduced to life imprisonment because he was found to be incurably mentally ill. He was lodged at Yerwada Central Jail, Pune, and was under treatment at the Central Institute of Mental Health and Research. When a panel of doctors who examined him at the directive of the High Court found that he would never be cured, the High Court reduced his sentence to life imprisonment in its judgement of 4 August 1987. A few years later, in 1995, Raghav died at Sassoon Hospital. He had been suffering from renal failure.

Your contention that he will escape punishment by saying he had psychiatric illness is totally wrong! If at all, he suffers from an incurable psychiatric illness, he will be incarcerated in a mental asylum!

I understand that it needs courage to do but uniting with few locals can stop this barbarian act. Sad to see that no attempts were made. Our judicary system is so good we gave all criminals to recover fully and than appear before court. Eventhough he involved in murder case. For terrorist we have kept court open at night to prove himself innocent before he hanged in the morning.

Trying to prove he is mentally sick is only an excuse to escape law and avoid punishment. These are tactics used to get leniency from the court.

You forgive them in small mistakes, leave them unpunished, they grow into bigger criminals. Had he not stabbed this girl, he may have done a bigger crime in near future.

People around him, whether his relatives or community members, please look for remaining 'home-stay' accused, before the snakes turn around and bite you.

human rights may try best to save accused. But he is already tasted blood and harmful for society. There are many incidents of criminals who come out on bail and commit more heinous crimes. Hence better he is in jail. Recently a rowdy paramour in kerala out on bail killed his stepson brutally for nothing. Always take care of extra marital affairs mostly children are victims.

Sushant is a threat and needs to be taken off the streets and locked up forever.

There is no way he can exit especially in cases like these when incidents are covered by media it's little bit hard on top of that he is rowdy sheeter a case already warranted previously. I have witnessed in my own eyes several similar incidents it's tough & no money or political pressure will get him out soon, even if he comes out things are going to get complicated for him.

Let all the expenses be borne by this stupid attacker & if he don't have money let him work in the jail premises life long by serving other inmates beside his punishment for the crime he comitted. I demand he should be hanged in Public.

Praise the Lord she is recovering. Youth should be level headed use your energy and time in doing good for society and see how much happiness you get.. rest is all temporary. You cannot force someone to love you if onesided let it go be practical you will definitely get someone more better in life. Also girls/boys should not play with emotions if not interested be practical and cutoff fast rather then stretching.

Lead from the brain rather than heart only when you know opposite human also loves you unconiditionally whether siblings, fiancees, friends then only be emotional else being practical is rule of day.
