Udupi: Inebriated goons launch lethal attack on bus driver, conductor

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jul 2: In an incident which happened on Tuesday July 2 at Seethanadi near Agumbe, people who were travelling in a car intercepted a bus and launched murderous assault on the driver and conductor of the bus.

The conductor and driver who became victims of this attack were working in a private bus that moves between Shivamogga and Mangaluru. The attackers allegedly also forcibly took away Rs 20,000.

The ruffians claimed that the bus driver did not give their car space to overtake. They perhaps did not take into account the fact that the road on Agumbe ghat is not wide enough at most of the places to allow other vehicles to overtake.

Screengrabs from CCTV footage

The attackers were brutal and seemed to give vent to their anger rather than thinking rationally.

This scene was recorded in the CCTV camera installed inside the bus.

What kind of creatures are these?

Why did they hit bus conductor? These bus staff also use abusive words sometimes. But they cannot manhandle like this.

These goons need to be punished similarly like they have beaten bus staff.

20K robbing claim might be fabricated to make case strong and include robbery as we can see in video some passenger bringing and handing over cash of conductor( when he was being beated) to driver or keeping it there.

I want to read further news that these ruffians are treated the same way and they are jailed without bail for at least one one! My blood boils seeing atrocity of these drunk goons! Bus association should prevent any lawyer from applying for their bail! Driver should have locked the door of the bus and should have driven the bus to the nearest police station. I wish bus had some courageous passengers who could have roughed up these goons! Lets see which politicians will support these rowdies and their courage!
