Panaji, Jul 3: Denying MLAs’ request for hard copies of the answers for the upcoming assembly session, Goa speaker Rajesh Patnekar on Tuesday made his point clear and said “Paperless means paperless, we cannot go back.”
The upcoming 20-day monsoon section starting from July 15 is expected to be the longest assembly session till date. This will also be the first full-fledged assembly session after chief minister Pramod Sawant took up the charge of the state. Patnekar told TOI that his office had already received 409 starred questions and 893 unstarred questions for the assembly session.
In a business advisory committee (BAC) meeting held on Tuesday to finalize the agenda for the session, Patnekar said that the thanksgiving motion of the governor’s speech will be discussed on the first three days.
As per TOI report, he said “Two days have been kept aside for general discussion and the remaining days will have discussion on demands.”
He also added that the government has not yet informed him anything yet regarding the bills that would be introduced in the assembly.
