Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel seeks special package for areca nut growers

Mangaluru, Jul 3: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has urged the central government in the parliament to declare special package to the areca nut growers of the Dakshina Kannada and other places of South India on Wednesday, July 3. 

Nalin Kumar made this known to the public through a tweet on his personal account on Twitter. In his tweet he said, "Today I urged the central government to declare special package to the areca nut growers." 

MP Nalin Kumar has received wide appreciation from netizens for his effort.

Nalin Kumar made his speech in Kannada in the parliament.

    People's understanding of education is if she /he able to talk in English not based on their wisdom. 10th fail waitress with good English they feel highly educated with great IQ. North Indians only speak Hindi which is their mother tongue, are well educated, come on look at their vision & intelligence not what language they speak. Grow up Chumchaas .

    I hope you people voted this MP are satisfied today at his speech. We are a part of a district which has more than 15 medical and 15 Engineering colleges. We have highest number of intellectuals,doctors,engineers working in USA UK Canada Australia and Middle east countries

    and when it comes to representation at the parliament we sent someone who cannot speak Hindi or English.

    He did not speak a word about ,shiradi ghats tunnel ,bad roads , bad traffic , bad interconnect bridges that are incomplete .
    he did not speak or a demand more hospitals, railway facilities for our districts.
    He did not speak about more gaushalas to our district a the government cost so that the seized animals can be kept instead of selling them secretly.
    he did not speak about more licences for slaughterhouses as the beef eating population as increased compared to the present licences that exist since last 50 years.

    1/Coconuts.
    2/Cocoa.
    3/Olives.
    4/Jamla (Purple berries)
    5/ Avale.
    6/Pepper
    7/Mangoes
    on mass scale.

    What kind of special package is he talking - Farmers are divided say arecanut grower, coconut, grains, vegetables fruit growers etc
    Focus on how an farmer can survive- small scales once, rest can and will survive some how or the other

    Please let common people get grains from the Ration shop. That what is left to rot in open granaries in Pubjab/Haryana, please distribute throughout the nation so that it will be put to use.

    Earlier we used to get sugar, wheat, kerosene and pulses. Why not now ?
