Special Delhi police cell seize drugs worth Rs 800 crore, two Afghans arrested

New Delhi, Jul 23: Two Afghanistan nationals were arrested by a Special Cell of Delhi police. The officials managed to confiscate drugs over Rs 200 crore from them.

Earlier the Special Cell also busted a drug racket where they confiscated heroin worth Rs 600 crore. This followed the arrest of five people, including two Afghanistan nationals.

On Friday, in a statement the Delhi police said, "Five people including two Afghan chemical experts dealing with 150 kg of Afghan heroin worth Rs 600 crore in the international market were arrested."

The accused followed a process which included, soaking of jute bags in heroin-laden solution. The two Afghan nationals were planning to set up a full-fledged factory in Delhi. According to the Delhi police, drugs worth Rs 800 crore in the whole week have been seized.
