Man kisses on-duty police officer while drunk during Bonalu festival

Hyderabad, Jul 30: On Sunday when the Bonalu procession was taking place, a man was accused of kissing an on-duty police officer. The man identified as Bhanu, was found to be in a state of total inebriation.

As part of safety measures during the procession, police personnel were assigned specific duties in the limits of Nallakunta police station. According to Circle Inspector, Murlidhar, Bhanu who is from Malkajgiri first obstructed Sub Inspector Mahendra and then kissed him while drunk.

Following the incident, a case was registered under section 353 of the Indian Penal Code against Bhanu after which he was taken into custody.

Bonalu is an annual festival of Telangana celebrated around Hyderabad, Secunderabad and other parts of Telangana.

    You are typing in English, which is a western language. You drive vehicles which were designed by western people. You eat pizza's which came from a Western country. You wear shirts and trousers which are Western and you use the internet which was designed by western Engineers and then you go and complain about Western culture.
