Live ammunition found in passenger’s hand bag at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru, Jul 31: CISF personnel manning the screening process at the domestic section of the international airport in the city found four rounds of live ammunition in the possession of a passenger in his baggage.

This incident took place in the morning on Wednesday, July 31. CISF assistant sub inspector Sonam Gupta found the live ammunition in the hand baggage of a passenger by the name Sanjeev D Shetty, who was scheduled to fly to Mumbai by Indigo airline flight 6E 295.

During the inquiry, it was found that the said passenger did not have the valid license for possessing the live ammunition with him. In accordance, with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines, the passenger along with the seized live ammunition was handed over to the local police for further legal action.
