Puttur: Gas tanker overturns at Yenjira, traffic on NH affected

Puttur, Aug 2: A gas tanker got toppled on national highway 75 between Mangaluru and Bengaluru at Yenjira, Renkya village, under Dharmastala police station limits. 

This incident took place at 11 am on Friday, August 2.

The gas is getting leaked from the overturned tanker and the vehicle movement on the highway is stopped as a precautionary measure. 

The fire service personnel are on the spot and are trying to arrest the gas leak.



Officials have asked travellers from Bengaluru to Mangaluru to use alternative Gundya – Subrahmanya – Kadaba - Uppinangady route and those travelling from Mangaluru to Bengaluru to proceed via Uppinangady - Subramanya cross – Kadaba – Subrahmanya - Gundya road.

    Never the Govt people will learn a lesson even after the tragedy had struck some years back Why cant they stop these bullet tankers .
    .Next i cant understand why people are going around tanker when they know it is dangerous .When there is a Gas leak or suspected gas leak . One small slightest flame Or static can cause a big disaster
