Bengaluru: Disqualified MLA H Vishwanath announces retirement from politics

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Aug 3: Rebel JD(S) MLA H Vishwanath, who was disqualified by the Karnataka speaker, announced his retirement from active politics.

“I will not contest in the Vidhan Sabha elections henceforth. I am disappointed by the uncertainty in state politics and will not contest in assembly elections and will not return to politics,” he told media on Saturday, August 3.

“Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy were responsible for cracks to appear in coalition government and its failure. We are not responsible. When I was a Congress MP, people from within the Congress had prepared to complain to the high command with false accusations to expel me. The matter was informed to me by K C Venugopal himself,” he alleged.

“Siddaramaiah used to insult me in one way or the other. I was working as JD(S) state president only for namesake. The candidate suggested by me was not issued ticket in local elections in Mysuru. After all the insults, I resigned out of disgust,” he told news reporters.

Disqualified MLA H Vishwanath may have announced his retirement from politics, but his primary goal will be now electing BJP MLA in bye-elections.

He will be doing secret canvassing for the BJP so that CM Yeddyurappa government again it will not fall of majority.

Rebel JD(S) MLA H Vishwanath lost his dignity. Perhaps naming and shaming of all the MLA's who defected by voters will be the biggest mandate.

On the other hand, BJP should bear the expenses of all re-election expenses. More than 13.7 lakh crores have been wiped out since the budget. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) withdraw over ₹20,500 cr.
Considering the 2019 Lok Sabha cost each voter cost India Rs.700 and Rs10 crores for each assembly segment.
Now the state needs to Rs200 crores only for elections. When the deficit of treasury, this will be imposed as additional taxation for the common man.

The dissident MLA's who are disqualified is nothing to lose.

number of crores divided by 15 lakhs is enough to share with your family and keep the rest as a tip from your constituents, hope your voters learned a little but I am sure they will forget by next election. The one will come is more shameless and bigger thief.

What a turnaround of the situation! The rebel MLAs expected to be heroes but they are zeroes now. No body wants them now. Even the BJP who encouraged them to revolt do not want their business now as they are not ready to disturb their safe status now at least until bye election

End of the road for all 17 rebel MLAs. They have already violated rules and been disqualified and this disqualification stands valid if they join BJP or fight independently. Only way for them to join coalition in next election time Till then take a sabaticle. You shot your own legs.
