Build a stage under the bridge on both sides covered with sponge on top of it and covered with high border on both sides. Once they fall they will not be able to come out and CC camera can catch their fall and our Security department can pull them up. Otherwise you may find more people in the river than fish.

I wonder why people from different parts are coming to Netravati bridge to commit suicide. Now Netravati bridge has become very popular after business icon Siddartha's suicide case and named as "Suicide Bridge".People are coming to commit suicide with various reasons from different parts. Why only they prefer Netravati bridge, not elsewhere.May be some hidden logic hidden in it.See,today one more case has been reported, the youth who came from Chickamagaluru and tried his luck to commit in Netravati bridge itself but unfortunately he has been saved from drowning.
Unless some serious step is not being taken by the concedrned department, authorities to stop this menace of suicide cases.it will continue for ever without any fullstop and pose a serious threat in the future.

GC.Puttur, one who wants really his life to end no grids or cctv cameras help.one or other tricks they will use .Best is one should take some help from professional when they have problems, may be loan ,home problems.Noone in this world is free from one or other problems. That doesnt mean one should sue cide ,but face it as a challange.think over it twice, and your next morning will be quite different.wish him good health. There is always a answer to every problems. As the Beatles said,

What is the point in installing CCTV cameras on the bridge? Only advantage will be to know who jumped and enjoy the video footage. Will this solve the problem of suicide. Lives will be lost anyway with the determination of the suicider. With cameras there should be someone to monitor 24x7 with a rescue team. Will this work out? It can, only if the idea of installing cameras is not for anyone's personal gain and with a intention of saving lives.

Readers should be aware that a person depressed, leaves clear footprints, about his intentions to kill himself or herself....... Students, have sucidal thoughts, after bad performances, loss of a loved person, rejection, failure in a career, financial loss, addiction to alcohol and drugs..these trigger suicidal thoughts.....These individuals, families and friends, must immediately take help of a psychiatrist and a counselor, else it will lead to a catastrophic situation leading to the death of the person.......
