Mangaluru: 18-month-old boy falls into floodwater, dies

Mangaluru, Aug 8: In a tragic incident, an 18-month-old boy fell into floodwater and died at Jappinamogaru in city on Thursday, August 8. 

Anjan is the deceased boy. He was the son of Ravi and Jyothi couple who are from Kadur in Chikkamagaluru district. 

Ravi is a fisherman. He does fishing in the nearby river everyday for his livelihood. 

 

As per details available, Anjan was sleeping with parents in the evening as it was raining heavily outside. He got up and walked out from the house when his parents were fast asleep and fell into the floodwater near the house.  

The body of the boy has been taken to a hospital for postmortem.
