Mangaluru: Authorities clear tree fallen on road at Bejai, traffic back to normal

Mangaluru, Aug 9: 
The tree which fell on the road at Bejai following gusty wind and heavy rain on Friday, August 9, was cleared by police and other personnel. 

As one side of the four lane road was blocked, it led to a traffic jam. 

Authorities jumped into action and cleared the fallen tree to facilitate smooth movement of traffic.

Mangaluru, Aug 9: Commuters on the Bejai to KPT stretch were stuck on Friday, August 9 in the morning, after a tree fell on the road at Bejai following gusty wind and heavy rain. 

The road connects to Circuit House and the highway.

One side of the four lane road was blocked leading to traffic jam. Two-wheelers and cars were seen going under the trunk of the fallen tree.

Several trees have been uprooted across the district this week, owing to the heavy rain.
