Metro Mourns Death of Armed Force Personnel Anant Gowda

The mortal remains of C Anant Gowda, Indian armed forces personnel and a native of Sukhadare village, Nagamandala taluk, Mandya district was laid on pyre in his native, Sukhadhare with all the state honours. He had passed away while undergoing special training at Jammu and Kashmir border, recently.



MLA K Suresh Gowda, Mandya sub-division officer R Lata and Nagamandala tahsildar Rangaswamy paid their last rites to the brave soldier. However, his family was uncontrollable as his mortal remains were laid on pyre amidst the state honours by armed reserve police personnel.
 
About Anant Gowda
 
Anant is the son of Cheluve Gowda and Kamakshamma couple and was the eldest among couple’s two sons. After completion of SSLC at Bogadi, he pursued ITI in Malavalli and then a diploma in K R Pet. Soon after this, he joined armed forces and was serving A D Regiment as technician. The tragedy struck when Anant was serving as a technical staff at armed forces map reading division at Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, he had also served in Jalandhar, Punjab. 
 
Anant for most of the part of his vacation would stay with his uncle Bette Gowda and brother Laxminarayan Gowda, both residing at Santacruz East and knew the city from close quarters.
 
The community members under Sri Adichunchanagiri Seva Samiti and Vokkaligara Sangha including president Narayan R Gowda and secretary K Raje Gowda among others condoled the untimely death of Anant.
