Mangalore, Jun 27: D K Shiv Kumar, working president, Karnataka Pradesh Congress, said, “The state administration has been hit by fever and is in an unhealthy condition. The statements by its leaders look like they are afflicted by disease”.
He was speaking to media persons here on Friday June 26, during his visit to the district to meet workers and leaders here.
Kumar said, “A Member of Parliament says that he will try to get Rs 80 as support price for arecanut but the state minister Umesh Katti says it will be only Rs 70 and the chief minister’s statement is different. If the government is healthy, the statements would not be contradictory but a clear cut assurance.”
“Chief minister for the state has started ‘resort politics’ by inviting officials to resorts to discuss matters though so far all the state administrations had all matters with the officials in the Vidhana Soudha. Hence, he should stop these kinds of politics”, alleged Kumar.
He said that the BJP leaders blamed the opposition party leader when Siddaramaiah was elected to the post, which shows their disrespect to democracy. He added that this had proved their inefficiency to rule the state democratically.
MLA U T Khader, district leaders of the party, Ivan D’Souza, Kodijal Ibrahim, and Vijaya Kumar Shetty were present.
