Bengaluru: CM Yediyurappa allots portfolios to ministers, Kota gets Fisheries

Bengaluru, Aug 26: As many as 15 cabinet ministers of the CM B S Yediyurappa-led BJP government in the state were given their respective portfolios on Sunday, August 26.

The list of portfolios allotted is sent to the approval of Governor Vajubhai Vala according to party sources. The official distribution of portfolios, however, will be held only on Wednesday, August 29 as per the directions of the BJP high command.

It is also learnt that three more MLAS will be made as ministers on Wednesday.

Govind M Karjol: Public Works Department, Additional charge Social Welfare Department
Dr C N Ashwath Narayan: Higher Education, IT & BT, Science and Technology
Lakshman Sangappa Savadi: Transport
KS Eshwarappa: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj
R Ashok: Revenue Department excluding Muzrai
Jagadish Shettar: Large & Medium Scale industries excluidng Sugar
B Sriramulu: Health & Family Welfare excluding Medical Education
S Suresh Kumar: Primary & Secondary Education and Sakala
V Somanna: Housing
C T Ravi: Tourism, Additional charge Kannada & Culture
Basavaraj Bommai: Home Department excluding Intelligence Wing
Kota Shrinivas Poojary: Muzrai from Revenue Department, Fisheries, Ports and Inland Transport
J C Madhu Swamy: Law, Parliamentary affairs and Legislation, Additional charge Minor Irrigation from Water Resources Department
Chandrakantagouda Channappagouda Patil: Mines and Geology
H Nagesh: Excise
Prabhu Chauhan: Animal Husbandry
Jolle Shashikala Annasaheb: Women and Child Development, Empowerment of Differently-abled and Senior Citizens
