Bahrain: Karavali Konkans Association Celebrates Anniversary

Bahrain, Jun 28: Jun 26 was a memorable day for the members and their families of Karaval Konkans Association as they celebrated fourth anniversary of the association in style at the Papillion Restaurant at Bahrain.
The programme began at 12.45pm with a prayer song and 1 minute silence for the souls of Konkani greats Late Mick Max and Johney Surathkal. After the prayer song Walter Dantis briefed Karavali Konkans Association establishment and it’s growth, and announced the line of programme for the evening.
Mellissa sung Chandamama song followed by Cynthia Latha sung 'Sanjechya Veilar' and Lavina Dantis sung 'Chintaam dees ani raat'.
Sunni sayed, Tanisha, Sushim Shetty and Sampat Jathana gave wonderful and colorful ‘Rhythm 4 Dance’ to the public and was applauded by the audience.
'Ronnie' song sung by Melba Martis followed by comedy Jokes Jovilim Boblim by Ivan D’Souza, Hilary Tellis and Wilfy Mendonce. President Ronald D’F’D’souza in his brief speech. Thanked all members and all well wishers. He also informed the success of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Contest held on 10th October-2008 at Ramada Palace Hotel –Bahrain.
He also informed the audience that, on 26th November-2009 Nellu Permannur’s “BOLPO” drama will be staged in Bahrain and on 27th November-2009 at Dubai. At the end of this speech, he introduced the committee for 2009 - 2010 as follows,
Ronald.D.F.D’Souza, Walter Dantis, Vincent.D’Souza. John Miranda, Cyril Pereira, Henry Castilino and Vincent Sequeira as office bearers.

Jasmin and Valch udkak sung by Ronald Fernandes and Freeda Sequeira followed by Taxi song by them. Tulu comedy jokes by Ivan and Hilary Telis followed by Laksmish Kotekar’s group two cinematic Dances.
Vincent D’Souza gave vote of thanks followed by Chedvaam Borim Amchaya Gaanvachi by Francis, Ronald & Simon.
The sumptuous lunch served by Papillion 1st class Restaurant for all members and guests.
Walter Dantis was the anchor for the show.
