Mangaluru, Aug 27: With the final report of the forensic science laboratory confirming that Cafe Coffee Day founder, Siddhartha Hegde, had committed suicide, the investigating officers are now concentrating on finding exact reasons behind his suicide. After receiving the final report, the police have prepared to begin second phase of investigation into causes which made Siddhartha to end his life.

As per information, report on the genuineness of Siddhartha's handwriting on a letter he had left behind has also been received by the investigating officers. Therefore, the officials now are able to undertake investigation on actual causes for his decision to commit suicide.

The officials will also collect information about his family life, business dealings, loans, shares, details of bank accounts, advice of financial advisers, among other things. They may also look into notices served on Siddhartha by income tax and other departments, whether the income tax officials were under pressure, and whether Siddartha was prompt in clarifying points raised by the tax authorities.

City (south) assistant commissioner of police Kodandarama, has been investigating the case under the guidance of city police commissioner Dr P S Harsha.
