Mangaluru: Missing jeweller and financier Prabhakar Acharya's body found

Mangaluru, Aug 28: The mortal remains of Prabhakar Acharya, an entrepreneur from Boliyar, were found to have been deposited on the seashore at Mitrapatna, Mukka, within the limits of Suratkal police station on Wednesday, August 28 morning.

Acharya had gone missing since the last two days under mysterious circumstances. His scooter was found to have been abandoned near Mudipu. A missing case had been registered in Konaje police station. With the retrieval of Acharya's body at Mitrapatna, the case has taken a curious turn.

Prabhakar Acharya was running a jewellery shop and finance business at Boliyar Junction since many years. Some people have expressed the suspicion that financial crisis would have driven Acharya to take this extreme step.

The police found Aadhar card and some other documents in the trousers on the body of Acharya. A case of unnatural death has been registered in Suratkal police station. Investigation has been taken up.

    I do not understand your logic.
    Demonetization converted most of the deals authentic, white and tax paid. GST brought everyone under tax bracket. Both are good initiatives. People who still wants to avoid tax and deal only in black are affected. No regrets for the demise if the above said is the reason.

    It is easy to wake up the sleeping man but it is not possible to the person who pretends sleeping
    GST is welcomed by all States and o ly after the full cooperation of it has been implemented. Just because somebody wants to do trade illegally it is not possible. Further read story of khangress and its policy of note printing between 2008 to 2014 you will know why demonitization was needed

    Don't blame govt policies, its these businessman are accustomed to bad or illegal practices, when law became firm, they can't sustain the pressure. Those who were honest had no problem in dealing demonization and GST. Infact GST has reduced paperwork and assessment to a greater extent and ease of doing business has been the highest.
