Bantwal, Aug 28: A case was filed in Vittal police station in the taluk on Tuesday August 27 relating to an incident in which a newly-married woman disappeared all of a sudden, duly leaving behind a letter expressing her disinclination to live with her husband.

The woman who went away from her husband has been identified as Malini (23), wife of Mutturaj Malligewada living at Ukkuda Padibagilu near Vittal. Mutturaj is a native of Laxmeshwar taluk of Gadag district.

Mutturaj was serving at Padibagilu government school since the last three years. He had married Malini about three months back and was living in a rented house at Kallakatta near Vittal with her.

On his return from duty on Tuesday August 27, Mutturaj noticed that his wife was not at home. When he searched for her, he got a letter in which the lady had mentioned that she had found it impossible to live with her husband and therefore was going away.

Vittal polie, who have registered the complaint on the basis of Mutturaj's statement, are investigating.
