Bengaluru: Sriramulu peeved at not being made deputy chief minister

Bengaluru, Aug 28: It is reliably learnt that B Sriramulu, who has been a formidable force to reckon with within the BJP, is frustrated at not being made deputy chief minister (DCM) as per the expectations of himself and his followers.

Sriramulu met chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, on Tuesday August 27 morning and gave vent to his dissatisfaction. He also is said to have told the chief minister that he was dismayed at having not been given important portfolio, which has given rise in him to a feeling of having been sidelined.

Sriramulu's fans and supporters as well as BJP ST Morcha workers besides leaders of Valmiki community held strong protests in Ballari, Hospet, Sandur, Koppal, Kanakagiri, Nayakanahatti, Hosadurga etc, condemning the BJP leadership's neglect of their leader. They also have warned the party that they would not remain quiet if Sriramulu is also not made a deputy chief minister.

It is learnt that former minister and Beelagi MLA Murugesh Nirani, is strongly backing Sriramulu.
